Marvel Spider-man Comics
Earlier this year, Marvel took a massive new step and killed off Peter Parker and re launched a new series of Ultimate Comics Spider-man. This was done to make Marvel more world friendly and to finally tie up a lot of the ultimate series of books in the Marvel universe.
All a play of words and to be honest so will the storyline. If like me you appreciate the different styles of the artwork and the adaptations of the storylines, Miles Moralis will be a breath of fresh air to Spider-man.
I personally struggle with the rest of Marvel universe and usually lose interest in whatever series i am reading once other super heroes start cropping up in the storyline. The fantastic four being my biggest bug bear. Johnny storm really gets on my wick!!
I prefer Spider-man to be alone in New York. Spider-man verses Crime and Super villains.
So meet Miles Moralis, he is a regular kid struggling with becoming an adult, has a good group of friends within a boarding school environment so his parents can remain on the back burner, whilst he struggles to cope with his new found super powers.
This new storyline has been tied up rather neatly with the rather untimely death of Peter Parker after yet another breakout of the Green Goblin,Sandman, Doc Oc and the other band of loons that seem to walk the streets of New York!
I have a feeling the old Ultimate Spider-man issues will become a very collectable comic book series in the future as for decades Spidey has always been Peter Parker and we all know how the public hate change. The artwork looks good to me and with some good storylines and new characters i believe the transition of spider-man will work.
As you would expect there have been many variants of the death of spider-man (Peter Parker)and the birth of the new Spidey (miles Moralis). Here we have the most common, The regular mass produced Black Bagged variant and the rarer 1:30 Red Bagged variant. There are also limited edition 1:200 black and white sketch variants, blanks and 1:100 colour sketches.
Miles Moralis was introduced to the world in Ultimate Fallout, a mini series of 4 comics as a trial run to gauge the audience and then was launched as its own title Ultimate Comics all new Spider-man.
Only time will tell if it is a success or not, but i think it is pretty good so far.
